Scripture Swap

Wow! It's Thursday again already. I'm feeling better, but it's been crazy trying to catch up from being sick last week! I had a swap to complete for Awna at the Stamp Shack. We are making 4x6 inch flat cards with Bible verses on them. I'm putting mine in an inexpensive 4x6 album to make a nice daily devotional kind of book, along the idea of the ones you can buy in the stores. But this one is extra special because the pages have come to me from friends all around the country. :)

This is a simple project using part of a card kit from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff! She now has 3 fabulous card kits available in her stamp store. I just love them! (I'll list the links at the bottom of this post.)

I started with a 4x6 black panel of cardstock and rounded the corners with my round-it-all. Next, I punched out the file tab using cream cardstock and then punched it with my crop-a-dile. I inked it with gold ink and attached a silver eyelet and gold ribbon to make a clipboard top. Using the Elegant Black and White card kit, I then typed my Bible verse on one of the page pieces and printed it out on cream cardstock. You could easily use a rub on, sticker or hand write a verse on the card as well.

Next, I used versa mark ink and gold embossing powder to stamp/emboss the little heart below the verse (not sure who makes this stamp). I centered and attached the tab to the top of my cream panel (also corner rounded) and then lastly, a prima flower with brad center in the lower right hand corner. Done. Quick and easy!

I actually made 12 of these cards. To make multiples, just crop out the card kit piece you want to use, then paste it onto your new sheet using your photo editing program. I put 4 pieces of this one design on a sheet of cardstock. Next, type and paste your Bible verse onto each card piece, then print out as many as you need.

Here are the links to Lindsay's three card kits, available in her store for just $2 each! Wow! What a deal! And remember, she is still offering her "Spend $5 and get a free stamp" deal through the end of this month, so hurry on over and don't miss out!

Thursday is Digi Stamp Day!!!

I've been sick for a whole week, and I'm so tired of it! I haven't done much card making. Actually, I haven't done much of anything. Anyway, I am feeling a little better this morning and whipped up this cute "Miss You" card, since I've missed posting and missed hearing from all of you. This week, I've used the Ellie stamp from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I printed her out on white cardstock, then colored her with my Bic Mark-its. I cut her out and adhered her to a mustard scallop, and then to a rust scallop. I covered my card base with a striped patterned paper from bo bunny and did 4 stripes with the mustard and rust. I zig zag punched (Martha Stewart) the bottom and adhered that to the card. I added the scalloped elephant and stamped "miss you" (studio g), and I'm done!

If you haven't tried digi stamps, you should! They are a really fun addition to my ever growing supply of paper crafts. Lindsay has a great selection of digi stamps in her shop and now through the end of the month of May, she is offering a special deal : For every $5 you spend you can pick a stamp for free, spend $10 get 2 free stamps, spend $15, get 3 free. Just click on the link to the left of this post. That will take you directly to Lindsay's online store. Click HERE to link to her great blog. She always has wonderful ideas and usually a freebie or two! Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Crafting!

Love You With A Cherry On Top!

I made this cute card today with Lindsay's Cherry on Top cupcake digi stamp. I paper pieced it using some scraps I had left over from previous projects. I opened the stamp in my photo shop program and cropped the image so that it would fit on the scrap. I printed the cupcake "paper" on patterned paper and cut it out. Then I printed the cupcake and frosting on a piece of lavender paper and cut it out. I colored the cupcake brown and the cherry red using my Bic Mark Its. I then punched three squares and stamped (studio g) cherries on two of them and the sentiment on a third. I also colored these with my Bic pens. Next, I cut pieces of different color purple papers and glued them on my card base. Lastly, I colored the cherries with red stickles and highlighted the frosting with clear stickles. Quick and easy!

You can get this great digi stamp and lots of others at Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. She's having a special for the month of May: Spend $5 get a stamp for free. So for every $5 you spend you can pick a stamp for free, spend $10 get 2 free stamps! So don't wait, hop on over now and start digi stamping!

Whooo loves Digi Stamps? I do!

I am just having too much fun with Lindsay's digi stamps! I made up this quick and easy card while watching tv with my ds. I printed the owl on a branch image on cream cardstock and used my watercolor pencils to color it. To make the card, I cut a 5x10 panel of cream cardstock and folded it in half. I cut a piece of patterned paper and two different greens for the front. I inked up the edges of all the pieces (including the owl panel) with gold ink. The patterned paper has a lot of gold and silver bling, but I couldn't get it to show up very well in the photo. I attached silver brads in the corners of the owl panel and glued it all together. As Sherri would say, "Easy Peasy!" Just click here to visit Lindsay's online digi stamp store to check out all her great designs! Happy Stamping!
