First Day of Fall Sale!

Happy First Day of fall everyone! Well, tomorrow anyway! LOL I had big plans for 2 great cards using digi stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff this week - one to say goodbye to summer and one to welcome the fall, but my printer and programs had other ideas...grrr! On top of that, I have been sick with a cold this week, and my patience is wearing a little thin, so unfortunately, I have no new projects for today, but I do want to tell you about the First Day of Fall Sale at Mygrafico! There is a 40% off sale for the whole day on September 23rd!!! How cool is that? Even though I have no new project, I thought maybe I would link back to a favorite project from last year. I just love the Creepy Crows set and used it on THIS project. I hope you like it too! Hopefully I can get my technical difficulties worked out, get rid of this cold and post my cards soon. Back to School

I can't believe there are only19 more days until school starts! The summer sure has flown by quickly. So, with school on my mind this morning, I decided to make this back to school card. It is a 6x6 black card base which I layered with a page from an old math book. Then I added layers of red card stock to a panel of embossed paper and a cute stamp from LINDSAY'S STAMP STUFF. I colored it with bic mark its and copics. I added some ribbon, brads and a round paper clip, corner sticker and done! You can instantly download this image from the School Rules set at Mygrafico. Wow! Thursday again already! Well, this month is no less busy than last, so I have not been able to do any stamping or crafting this week, but I did want to tell you about the big SCHOOL'S OUT SALE at LINDSAY'S STAMP STUFF in her MYGRAFICO! SHOP!

Birthdays and Anniversarys!

It's a birthday party for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. To celebrate we are going to Hop, Shop & Crop April 13-15. Lindsay will be holding a 3-day crop in the mygrafico crop room. Go on over there now and join (it's free). Over the course of the 3-days you can pop in and out as often as you want to participate in the events and classes, join challenges or just see what is going on. The classes and crops are free. There will be freebies and prizes. We also have a blog hop and other exciting things planned. Stay tuned for more details.

That was the Birthday, now for the Anniversary - MINE! Today is my 10th wedding anniversary!!!! The two cards I made this week were shamelessly quick and easy, but I think they are also lovely and elegant. I can't decide which to give hubby - maybe you all can help me.

I made these cards using the UPTOWN HOUNDS TOOTH paper and the EMBOSSED MATS sets from LINDSAY'S STAMP STUFF. I created a postcard document in my Printshop program so I could print out 4 panels on one sheet of paper. All I did was layer the mat over the hounds tooth paper and print it out. Next, I cut out the panels and stamped the tulip and stem (Stampin' Up) one one card, adhered a red ribbon around that panel, attached that to a panel of black card stock and then to a white card base. For the other card, I stamped the birds (Inkadinkado), colored the cardinal with a red watercolor marker, attached a red Prima Flower and brad center then adhered that panel to a black card stock base. I don't think it took a whole 15 minutes to make BOTH of these cards!
