Whew! I Made it!

Well, I waited till the last minute to do this week's card...so of course, I am having computer/printing problems. Fortunately, I had a few images already printed, so I whipped up this card using one of my favorite images from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. Be sure to check out her on line shop, she's added some awesome new stamps to her collection. I colored the primitive house image the colors of my own house and inked the edges with vintage photo distress ink. The sentiment is a stamp by repeat impressions , that I picked up Tuesday, at my Judy's Scrappin' and Stampin'. I'm not sure if it shows in the photo, but I embossed the bottom edge with one of my cuttlebug embossing borders. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

This week Lindsay has created a special stamp for one of her fabulous design team members, so don't be draggin' behind...FLY around to their blogs and find this week's freebie!

Happy Stamping Everyone!

Welcome to My House!

It's Thursday again, and that can only mean one thing...it's digi stamp day!!! This week I'm using the digi stamp that Lindsay (LINDSAY'S STAMP STUFF) designed just for me! I absolutely love it!!!!

I copied a layout designed by Ali Dufty of the UK, found in Stampington's Spring 2007 issue of take ten. I think it works well with my image. I colored the image the same colors as my own house. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder with a panel of color core'dinations paper, sanding off the embossed areas. I also sanded a small area of the patterned paper and stamped "Welcome" (Stampin Up) and with some ribbon and a Prima Flower, I trimmed out my card. Since we will be having company this month, I thought it would be nice to leave the card in a small basket with some bath goodies for our guest.

As you may have guessed, this week is my turn to give away the freebie stamp. Click HERE to download this cute little Primitive House stamp. Check out the whole line of digi stamps at Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. Most stamps are only $1.00 each and this month you can get a free stamp with every $5.00 purchase.

Even though I have the freebie this week, stop by the rest of the Design Team's Blogs and leave them some love. I know they've posted some wonderful projects that you won't want to miss!

Happy Stamping Everyone!

Good Fences Make Good Neighbors..Literally!

I was feeling a bit lonely this weekend, so I decided to make these wintery friends from -you guessed it- leftover fence pickets, fence bolts, a few scraps of polar fleece and a little bit of paint! They were super easy to put together and tons of fun too.

For the snowmen I watered down a bit of white paint to create a white wash. I used that to paint the snowmen. After that dried, I painted on the eyes, mouth and buttons with black. While that dried I painted the fence bolts orange and once they dried, glued them into place. The hats and scarves were cut, folded and stapled to the picket from the back.

The Santas were painted freehand. I used snowy accent paint for the beards and fur on the coats.

The Penguin was white washed and black features added in. Hat and scarf were stapled into place. I used two orange fencebolts to create his beak.

So, as you can see, in this case, good fences make good neighbors!
